Introduction of the Development Zone
Hangzhou Qianjiang Economy Development Zone (the second name: New Area of Hangzhou Industry) is subordinated to Hangzhou People’s Municipal, was approved to establish on March 6th, 2006 by Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government and was approved as a province designated development zone by the notice of the State Development and Reform Commission on April 17th, 2006.
Geographic location: the development zone is located at the north suburb of Hangzhou, Zhejiang, in the southeast of the ancient town of southern China – Tangxi Town, is adjacent to Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Cannel in the north, close to No. 09 Provincial Road in the west, close to No.320 National Road, close to Linping, is the deputy city of Hangzhou City, around 9km away from Qiaosi Marshalling Yard, about 35km and 180km away from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport and Shanghai International Airport respectively and enjoys greatly convenient water , land and air transportation.
The planned range of the development zone: it starts from No. 09 Provincial Road in the west, reaches Heyu Road in the east, starts from Ningqiao Avenue in thesouth,reaches the Grand Cannel Road in the north and covers an area totaling 23.8 sq.km. according to the planning.
Planning target: improve the construction of infrastructures through scientific planning and rational function arrangement and build Hangzhou Qianjiang Economy Development Zone as a new highland of industry with advanced industries, rational layout, modernized facilities, gardening approach surroundings, top grade and high quality.
Function positioning: the development zone is dedicated to building the third largest industry high land of Hangzhou City, building as a modern processing and manufacturing base with international competitive power of Hangzhou City, “a hi-tech business incubator, advanced manufacturing base and a landscape garden type and city type of modern industry park” with harmonious surroundings, attaching importance to develop industries in terms of new materials, new energy, package, machine, electronic information and biologic medicine etc. and is also the major undertaking space and aggregation area for the industry transfer from the main city of Hangzhou.
The public main centre reaches Shunfeng Road in the east, reaches Xingzhong
Road in the west, reaches Kangtai Road in the north and reaches Kangxing Road in
the south. It is the core section of the development zone, is standing at the centre of the development zone and is planned to cover an area of around 1.61 sq.km. The function positioningfor this section is a comprehensive public centre that integrates the facilities including commerce (technology incubation included), office work, commerce, leisure&entertainment and residence with high grade and complete function for Hangzhou Qianjiang Economy Development Zone and is the economy development highland and the high yielding areaof economy efficiency for the development zone.
